March Confrence

Like Human Like Mirror
They watch you from within almost every room,
As you primp your hair and brush your teeth,
They stand their laughing at you,
For you are staring into their eyes getting ready for another day,
The mirrors love to gossip about what you have done,
Wither it was the day you practiced asking someone out,
Or the moment you smiled and had food in your teeth,
And as you look in they sit there and mimic you,
As if this were a game
Just like the kids at school,
They make fun of everything that's wrong with you,
But each mirror acts like it's perfect,
With its shiny frame,
And the reflection of a human,
Its beauty is masked,
But yet it continues to mock you,
So the day you smash it,
Is a day you will not soon forget,
For those seven years of bad luck,
Are made of just bad luck,
So they lurk in you room,
And turn normal to chaos,
Oh how they love to watch you smash to bits,
Soon you have replaced it,
And the mad cycle continues

Dreams...

Dreaming of floating away on a white fluffy cloud even in my dreams my head is up in the clouds. I mean after all I am very tall and all. Why cant I dream of being different? Even if it ends up being nearly impossible in the end. Hey, I mean I don’t want to be just some girl or a princess trapped in a castle guarded by a dragon. I just want to be able to have my head all up in the clouds dreaming of things I can do or become. After all I am not shooting for the moon or higher and definitely not  aiming for the stars way out of my grasp. I am just doing what every kid does thinking of things to do when I grow up big and strong just like you mommy and daddy. A world where I can be me and there is not a doubt about it. I hope one day you will look back and say she was right. A day in which you can be proud of a girl who walked alone. When I have my children that’s the day I will laugh too, but then I will think about the day I dared to dream of unicorns, castles and becoming president. I will tuck them in and kiss them on the forehead and tell them fight for those dreams and don’t ever lose hope Cause you can do it I know you can.

That Should Be Me
That should be me,
But its not,
You  said you need to for my mistakes,
Funny how you used the time to have me replaced,
I come back to the place,
Where we use to be,
Holding hands laughing on a swing,
Watching the sun set and holding each other close,
You got to believe that should be me,
Cause I am fighting for you,
Cant you see that I am in pain,
That should be me holding your hand,
Sitting in the sand looking at the moon,
But I am here  watching you kiss her,
Letting the tears roll down my face,
I never should have let you go,
Cause you are my everything,
Yet I still love you,
For you I would do anything,
Even run a thousand miles,
My first love left me alone out here with nothing,
I don’t need somebody to love,
I just need you,
You know you love me deep down,
Just think about it because I know you care,
Baby that should be me

Guardian Angel
An angel sent from above
The kind that’s beautiful but does not speak a sound
Until the day the dreaded ones come around
Looks deceive because as sweet as the look in the night
They sure put up a great fight
In order to save you from a tragic fall
Soon you will be thanking the heavens after all
For sending you an angel
Who became a friend

Imagine waking to a world where you and everyone around you are equal, and no I do not mean with rights I mean no one was smarter than anyone or prettier. A world in which you have to be handicapped if your knowledge is greater than someone else, prettier/handsomer than another, or even stronger than a person. Does any of this seem right, the fact that you or I can’t look pretty or even show off our strength and grace?  In the short story “Harrison Bergeron”,  the life of two people is put before you as you the reader see how perfection is unattainable, the flaws of human kind.
Reaching perfection in fact can ruin the uniqueness and disturb mankind due to the fact that they are no longer in rights to be themselves. Harrison himself was a strong intelligent man but due to the lack of understanding in the government he never got to show off his greatness or use it in any helpful way, therefore he rebelled. In one part of the story he had said that he would be their leader and that whoever has the bravery to stand now shall be his empress, meaning that he has more knowledge than the rest and his power is more useful than the leader themselves. In our world today we would be nothing if it weren’t for the differences in people. In fact, who would run our country if we as the people could not compete or be smarter than another? The possibility that everyone would be equal is very slim therefore you can only try and not succeed. Later as the story begins to hit its peak Harrison burst through the doors causing chaos showing that the story is an irony meaning it isn’t very realistic. Soon as the story shows the world rebels and no one listens to authority it happens in all cities now a day.

Each human has flaws and different abilities, but in a world where not even perfection is possible. Our world today should understand that being different makes everyone perfect and tampering with that under any way is to only bring us chaos.
